Letter from your Administrative team

Dear Lokrantz Families,

Welcome to the 2026—2027 school year! We are thrilled to welcome back our returning students and families and to extend a warm Lokrantz welcome to those joining our school community for the first time. We look forward to another year filled with learning, growth, connection, and celebration.

We are proud to open the school year with nine fully enrolled classrooms from preschool through 12th grade. Our Super Senior Program will continue to create a bridge between school and adult life for our transition-age students in preparation for adult life.

The majority of the work connected to our ADA construction projects has been completed! These improvements created a safer, more accessible, and more welcoming campus. We sincerely appreciate everyone's patience and flexibility throughout the construction process and look fonvard to a campus wide celebration on September 10th at our annual Back to School event.

At Lokrantz Special Education Center, we recognize that every student's educational journey is unique. Our teachers, paraprofessionals, service providers, office staff, and support team work together to ensure that each student has the resources, encouragement, and opportunities needed to grow academically, physically, socially, and emotionally. From our youngest learners through our transition-age students, every member of our school community is valued and supported. Every victory looks different, and every one deserves to be celebrated.

We understand that the beginning of a new school year can bring excitement, new routines, and questions. Please know that our entire team is here to support you. Communication between families and school staff is valued, and encourage you to reach out whenever you need assistance, information, or guidance. Our door is always open!

Families are essential in everything we do. Throughout the year, there will be opportunities to participate in school activities, meetings, workshops, celebrations, and PTA events. Your ideas, involvement, and partnership help make our school stronger. Region North's motto, 'Together is Better," truly reflects the spirit of Lokrantz.

We are excited to begin this new school year together and cannot wait to see the growth, progress, friendships, and accomplishments ahead Thank you for entrusting us with the privilege of supporting your child's educational journey.

Here's to a wonderful 2026—2027 school year. Welcome back, Zebras!
